Sex Industry Network
The Prostitutes Association of South Australia (PASA) was founded in 1986 in response to police harassment of sex workers. In 1987, PASA received a grant from the SA Health Commission for HIV/AIDS education and training. They collaborated with the AIDS Council of South Australia in 1989, and continued to provide education and information sessions across Adelaide. The organisation has been known as the Sex Industry Network (SIN) since 1995. Today, SIN seeks to promote sex workers’ rights and build a sense of community in the industry.
